Maximum Retail Price and Urban Kitchen ?

Yesterday i went to urban kitchen with some friends in the evening to have dinner in their i got this problem. When we checking the menu price for a all the casual beverage like cokes, Ginger beer and etc was RS 100, and we ordered few Ginger beers and what we got is normal ginger beer bottle that labeled to MRP of RS 33. But it have been sold for RS 100!.


So what exactly Maximum Retail Price mean ?


So i google it!


as i a definition i got this
"MRP (Max Retail Price inclusive of ALL taxes)"

so how can they sell a bottle that marked for MRP of RS 33 for the price of RS 100 ?

so i decide to go further searching on this and i found this article,

what i quoted from this is this author also have face to my problem but he was brave enough to sort it out at that time, so he went to manager and asked how they suppose to charge more than 3x price from MRP from him, and the manager's answer was funny, 

” that is the price that we put as a policy, but for customers that ask we reduce it to the MRP!!” 
 so what this exactly mean ? if we asked from urban kitchen manager can we reduce our bill by 77 rupees for each beer ? 

and is it legal to sold those in price of RS 100 when the MRP price is so much lower ?

Obsessive Compulsive Social Media Disorder???


What is it ? if you are not so familiar with this word 1st thing that comes to your mind is what the heck this mean ?
Simple.. in short form it is the addiction for social media, 
i know in recent past growth of social media in sri lanka being increased very fast with new technology and with mobility. But still most of the people not in the status of Obsessive Compulsive Social Media Disorder.


Let's see in details what this exactly suppose to mean! 




When you are in form of Obsessive Compulsive Social Media Disorder there are some clear facts others can see from outside,


1. what ever happened 1st you will think about updating your online profile status ( eg- Twitter/Facebook)


2.you will be looking forward to get to know with unknown people via social media and also keep a wide variety of deep connection ( with the details that people don't know who connect with your real life )


3.Spending whole day at social media without any trouble and trying to make virtual life toward you.


These are some major facts yet you can see lot more signs from a person who in Obsessive Compulsive Social Media Disorder.


Is it good or bad ? 




people give various kind of explanations / answers for this but my idea on this is it's neither good or bad, because there can be bad effects like loosing connection with your outside world but still there are much more good results like getting to know person who in good position that worth to your life that you never could not have meet in your real life without social media!

YOU ONLY HAVE YOURSELF!

For Once Think what is the situation you are today in Your Life! 


Why you in this situation ? isn't it because of the Decisions you made in past ? 


Of course it is! but the point is upon what you made those decisions ? just because on your feelings or because of the people who are with you ? 
I'm sure people around you have bigger part to do on your decisions ,

How good those decisions made a good for you ? Where are those people today ? are they still on the same position in your life ?


May be this story will explain..


There was a friend of mine.. which was in love from several years and yes even i used to believe it
s a love affair that we can admire.. as true love..


and when time goes, This guy got a job opportunity in UK. 


And what he did ? 


He threw that off because he couldn't left his GF and time  goes.. like a year after from this incident this affair broke up! Girl cheated on this guy and he went mad.. he screwed things and today he has been recovered,


But he is just a normal workers today.. if he accepted that UK opportunity thinking about his future ? 


Today his situation could have been so different ..




isn't this happening on our lives ? 


We take decisions on others, Thinking they going to be in our lives forever .. But are they ? 


NO! they will not ..


one day or another people around you will leave you.. yes it will happen !


and at last.. you are the only one who will left..


but can u fix those decisions you made on those people who stayed around you ? 


NO YOU CAN'T !


life has moved on..


sometimes you have to be selfish and take decisions just on your will..


Yes people will say selfishness is bad but they never tell that YOU ONLY YOU HAVE YOURSELF!

things have been changed, lot more than you and i know, life have been flow. may be for me i see it in a bad way, from my point of view. but.. 


I don't know..who is right or anymore..
Once in love we swear that we gonna be together even after death.. 


Yeah i know.... Lovely..


But do you ever thought by then..today will come ? the day that you holding someone's hand and say the same word ? in same love ?

well the common answer will be "NO" even tho there are always exceptions among us!

Yes! we live with people , with social connections in our life which we can't ignore!

ya that's because of this complicated social connections. now i feel like writing in sinhala will not communicate to all the people and it's kind of true..
